Better Than Ever With Veolia Water Technologies

Client Needs

The level of copper being detected within the client's recirculating water was in excess of 16ppm. To avoid a breach of the local water authority’s consent limits of 3mg/l, the client had enacted a short-term mitigation solution. Whilst effective, this solution had an annual cost impact of approximately £45k/annum.

Our Solution

Having undertaken a full MOC survey of the cooling system, it was evident that a change to the biocide program was needed to enable better performance at the pH level of the recirculating water

The Result

The high amounts of copper were no longer present in the cooling system blowdown water and it could be discharged safely. As a result, the decision eliminated the R&D service provider’s need to implement the short-term, costly mitigation solution it had previously operated.
