State-of-the-art water purification for world-class pathology laboratories
A new building for a world class pathology laboratory was a blank canvas for the design and implementation of an innovative water purification solution to complement a state-of-the-art design laboratory.
Client Needs
The chosen water purification system needed to provide water ranging from Type III (ring main system) to Type I+/I (PURELAB® Chorus), suitable for general laboratory use and also for more demanding applications, such as molecular biology and LC-MS.
Our Solution
Six PURELAB Chorus 1 Life Sciences and two PURELAB Chorus 1 Analytical systems with integrated flexible Halo dispensers were installed at various points throughout the building, providing ultrapure 18.2 MΩ.cm water to meet the client’s need for DNase- and RNase-free for molecular biology applications, and particle- and bacteria-free sensitive analytical techniques, such as ICP- and LC-MS.
The Result
A fully configurable solution was installed to deliver water purity of Type I+/I and RNase- and DNase-free water for molecular biology applications. The PURELAB Chorus 1 systems were installed in a neat and tidy manner that complemented the appearance of the laboratories. These space-saving water purification modules fully met the client’s specification, delivering the ultrapure water required for its pathology and diagnostic services.
