Sludge Pump
Slurry and sludge pumps designed for long life, low maintenance and optimum energy efficiency.
What is a Ram Pump?
A hydraulic ram pump has no need for an external source of power as it uses the force of moving water (hydropower) to provide the necessary energy.
A ram pump uses a water hammer effect to develop pressure. This allows a portion of the input water that powers the pump to be lifted to a point higher than where the water originally started. This makes the ram pump ideal for use where water needs to be pumped to a destination higher in elevation than the source.
Slurry and Sludge Pumps
Slurry and sludge pumps are required to pump viscous liquids containing various amounts of solid particles. It is essential that these pumps are not adversely affected, degraded or clogged by the particulate slurry and sludge content. Our Willett™ Pump is a vertical, single-acting positive displacement ram pump, which is designed for long life, low maintenance and optimum energy efficiency.
