Biobulk CSTR Industrial Effluent Treatment
Treats industrial effluents with high amounts of suspended solids.
Biobulk CSTR (completely stirred tank reactor) technology is a robust and proven process that treats industrial effluents with high amounts of suspended solids. It is an anaerobic treatment that is the equivalent to the conventional activated sludge digestion system.
Biobulk CSTR offers economical operation with proven reliability that has a tolerance for high concentrations of total suspended solids (TSS), fats, oil and grease (FOGs) and produces a usable energy by-product in the form of methane gas.
Industrial Effluent Treatment with Biobulk CSTR
Solid and liquid industrial effluent waste streams are initially treated by anaerobic suspended bacteria in the reactor. Most of the solid and soluble organic content, measured in COD (chemical oxygen demand), is converted into valuable biogas, resulting in a significant reduction in the concentration of organic material in the stream. The treated waste stream is retained before being released from the reactor for further, subsequent treatment. The biogas is temporarily collected before being used as a source of renewable energy or burned in a biogas flare.
